Winter Concert Update

Families of DPS, FIAP, K- 4 Students,

In order to better accommodate our growing community,  we have decided that we will be having two winter concerts this year.  Each evening will feature a different grouping of classes.  In order to comply with fire regulations and to ensure each family has seats at the evening concerts, we will be issuing to families a set number of tickets for the evening shows.  These tickets will be sent home with students next week along with a request form if you would like additional tickets (as available).  We are awaiting information to confirm how many tickets will be available for each family, however it will likely be 3-4 tickets/family.  There will be an afternoon concert for each show and tickets will not be required for these shows.  It is highly recommended that extended family and friends attend the afternoon concerts.

Below you will find the dates and groupings of the upcoming winter concerts:

Santa Shop and Adopt a Family

KITCHENER COMMUNITY SCHOOL ADOPT A FAMILYThis year our We Act Team will be collecting food and money donations so that they can adopt a Kitchener Family for Christmas.  We are responsible for building a hamper for a family of 6.  This includes food for the holidays and gifts for each child.  Please consider donating a non-perishable food item or a cash gift.  Our We Act Team will go and purchase perishable food items and gifts for the family.  We ask that money donations be cash or cheque and can be given to your child’s classroom teacher.

KITCHENER COMMUNITY SCHOOL SANTA SHOP:  We are currently seeking NEW or GENTLY USED items to donate to the Santa Shop at Kitchener.  The Santa Shop is a school run “store” where students can shop for items to give as gifts to their loved ones over the holidays.  This year our school has once again partnered with Kitchener Community School and one of our commitments is to provide items to their Santa Shop.  Suggested items:  toys (new or excellent condition), unopened lotions/perfumes/nail polish/makeup, puzzles, games, knick knacks, ornaments, festive gift wrap/ribbon/tissue/gift bags, jewellery (for men or women), men accessories (wallets, ties, etc), blankets, slippers, pajamas, picture frames, etc . . .  Please do not send candles.  Remember, these items will be re-gifted, so we ask that they are new or in very good condition.  Items can be dropped off at the office.  We will collect items up until December 4th.

Remembrance Day Assembly

Lest We Forget

Today we had a very special assembly to honour those who have sacrificed to

maintain the peace and freedoms that we enjoy in Canada.

Our students presented some powerful performances to a very

respectful and appreciative audience. The importance of peace and understanding

was  highlighted In quite a meaningful way.

Thank you to all of the parents and guests that attended
